Basketball Recap: Socorro Takes a Loss

Socorro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 56-41 bruising from the Escalante Lobos. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Socorro lost, don't look at Ivan Giron-Vega. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points. Giron-Vega has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jacob Angel was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Socorro's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Escalante, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Socorro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-42 defeat against Valencia on the 16th. As for Escalante, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-42 loss against Pecos on the 17th.
