Football Game Preview: Templeton Eagles vs. North Stars + How To Watch

Templeton has won five straight games at home, while North has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Eagles will host the Stars at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Templeton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Coalinga with a sharp 40-14 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 25 points or more this season.

Tyler Cunningham had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 228 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picking up 36 receiving yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending one pass. Another player making a difference was Colter Tannehill, who threw for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Templeton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 300 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.

Templeton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cameron Stevens.

Meanwhile, North earned a 40-32 win over Roosevelt on Friday.

Templeton better keep an eye on Bradley Dockery. He was instrumental in North's win, rushing for 217 yards and three scores on only 13 carries. Those 217 rushing yards gave Dockery a new career-high.

North's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Templeton, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.

Things could have been worse for Templeton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 30-13 loss to North in their previous meeting back in November of 2024.
