Orono is 8-2 against Dexter since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Riots will head out to challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Orono turned things around against Central on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 8-1 win.

Orono's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Zach Ryder, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs Ryder has posted since back in April. Andrew Barrett was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Dexter never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Penquis Valley on Thursday. They blew past the Patriots 11-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Orono's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Dexter, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Orono came out on top in a nail-biter against Dexter in their previous matchup on May 7th, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Riots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
