Basketball Recap: Jordan Carey Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

Pallotti won the last time they faced Archbishop Spalding and things went their way on Friday too. The Pallotti Panthers strolled past the Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers with points to spare, taking the game 63-44.

Pallotti got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Carey out in front who went 8 of 15 on her way to 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those four steals gave Carey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Smith, who posted six points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

Pallotti pushed their record up to 13-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Archbishop Spalding, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-14.

Pallotti will host St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Archbishop Spalding, they will venture away from home to take on Mercy on Tuesday.
