Baseball Recap: Independence's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but Independence unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 6-3 to the Nordonia Knights.

Anderson Jolliffe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Dom Narduzzi, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Nordonia, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Independence will head out to square off against Berea-Midpark at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nordonia, they will challenge Gilmour Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
