Soccer Game Preview: Sherman vs. Denison

The Sherman Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Denison Yellow Jackets at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Sherman has given up an average of 2.8 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sherman lost 5-1 to Anna on Tuesday. Sherman haven't had much luck with Anna recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Denison had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Greenville by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Denison, their victory bumped their record up to 2-18-1.

Sherman was able to grind out a solid win over Denison in their previous meeting back in February, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
