Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Central

Central had won four straight home games and Jabria Lindsey did her part to make it five on Friday. The Central Red Devils snuck past the Cartersville Hurricanes with a 59-55 victory thanks in part to Lindsey, who went 12 of 19 on her way to 34 points along with eight boards and five assists. Her afternoon made it 23 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Gerritt Griggs, who posted four points in addition to 15 rebounds and six assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Despite the loss, Cartersville still got an impressive performance from Senai Camper, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Trinity Montgomery, who had ten points.

Central's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Cartersville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-25 defeat against Carrollton on the 28th. As for Cartersville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-49 victory against Sumter County on the 28th.
