Volleyball Recap: Cheyenne Mountain Comes Up Short

Cheyenne Mountain and Mountain Vista squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Cheyenne Mountain had to settle for second. They came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Red-Tailed Hawks have suffered since April 12th.

Aiden Eslinger paced Cheyenne Mountain's offense, picking up ten kills. Eslinger got some help from Ari Martin and his 17 assists.

Cheyenne Mountain moved to 18-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Mountain Vista, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-2.

Cheyenne Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain Vista, they will take on Valor Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
