Volleyball Game Preview: Rolling Meadows Mustangs vs. South Elgin Storm

The Rolling Meadows Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the South Elgin Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Elgin took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Rolling Meadows, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Rolling Meadows was able to grind out a solid victory over Elk Grove, taking the game 2-0.

Rolling Meadows not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Elk Grove between 17 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18.

Meanwhile, South Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wheaton North.

While South Elgin had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21.

South Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 23-11. As for Rolling Meadows, their win bumped their record up to 17-18.

Rolling Meadows couldn't quite get it done against South Elgin when the teams last played on October 4th as they fell 2-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
