Softball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Carbon's Winning Streak

Carbon and North Sanpete squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Carbon had to settle for second. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Dinos' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Carbon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danica Adams, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Carbon's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for North Sanpete, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-11.

Carbon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 17-1 victory against Judge Memorial Catholic on the 3rd. As for North Sanpete, they will take on Grantsville at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cowboys have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
