Recap: Monroe Area vs. Hart County
The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes lost against the Hart County Bulldogs back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Monroe Area suffered a tough 7-2 defeat at the hands of Hart County. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Monroe Area was already down 5-2.
This is the second loss in a row for Monroe Area and nudges their season record down to 4-4-1. As for Hart County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.
Monroe Area will head out on the road to face off against Stephens County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hart County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hart County is on a three-game streak of home wins, Franklin County a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
