Volleyball Recap: CHESS Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Royalmont Academy Classical Prep on Thursday, CHESS Christian came back down to earth. The Royals lost 3-0 to Mars Hill Academy on Friday.

The final score came out to 25-4, 25-18, 25-14.

Lydia Young paced CHESS Christian's offense, picking up three kills. Young got some help from Greta Miron and her five assists. Miron also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Halle Carroll, racking up two apiece.

CHESS Christian's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. CHESS Christian will take on Milford Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Mars Hill Academy, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against East Dayton Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
