Recap: Industrial Cobras vs. Columbus Cardinals
The Industrial Cobras lost against the Columbus Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Industrial took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Columbus. Industrial has not had much luck with Columbus recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Columbus' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anaya Gardner, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Thea Schobel, who scored 11 points.
Industrial's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 5-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.1 points per game. As for Columbus, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Industrial and Boling will round out the year against one another at 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday at. As for Columbus, they will take on La Grange at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
