Basketball Game Preview: Longview Lobos vs. Royse City Bulldogs

The Longview Lobos will head out to square off against the Royse City Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Longview is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering North Forney just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to the Falcons. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lobos came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Falcons are ranked 412th).

Meanwhile, Royse City played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 40-20 to North Forney. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Longview's loss dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Royse City, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-16.

Longview came up short against Royse City in their previous meeting back in November of 2018, falling 57-45. Can Longview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
