Lambert waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sequoyah Chiefs. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Lambert's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Sequoyah are ranked 206th).

Lambert's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matches. As for Sequoyah, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lambert will take on North Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sequoyah, they will venture away from home to take on Etowah at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
