Softball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Burke Catholic. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 21-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Giuliana Wagner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Botsford, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Liberty will take on Livingston Manor at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Burke Catholic, they will face off against Eldred at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
