Basketball Game Preview: Western Reserve Blue Devils vs. Springfield Tigers

The Western Reserve Blue Devils will face off against the Springfield Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Western Reserve took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Jackson-Milton as Western Reserve made off with a 60-34 win. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Springfield had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 42-35 victory over the Blue Devils. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly seven points.

Western Reserve's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Springfield, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Western Reserve couldn't quite finish off Springfield in their previous matchup last Monday and fell 43-41. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Springfield's Jameka Brungard, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards.
