Basketball Game Preview: St. Scholastica Doves vs. Archbishop Hannan Hawks

The St. Scholastica Doves are taking a road trip to square off against the Archbishop Hannan Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Archbishop Hannan will be up against a hot St. Scholastica squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. St. Scholastica blew past Pearl River, posting a 56-16 victory. The Doves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Hannan waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 62-44 win over Lakeshore.

St. Scholastica's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.5 points over those games. As for Archbishop Hannan, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.

St. Scholastica was able to grind out a solid victory over Archbishop Hannan in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 60-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Scholastica since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
