Soccer Recap: Sequoia Takes a Loss

Sequoia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Menlo-Atherton Bears, falling 5-1. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in January.

Sequoia's loss dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for Menlo-Atherton, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0-4.

Sequoia will challenge South San Francisco at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South San Francisco's last five matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Menlo-Atherton, they will take on Burlingame at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Menlo-Atherton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.
