Merritt Island hasn't lost a match since December 4, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. Neither they nor the Edgewood Red Wolves could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Finley McDuffie was the only thing that stood between Merritt Island and a shutout considering she scored both of Merritt Island's goals, bringing her season total up to five goals.

Merritt Island's draw gives them a new season record of 4-4-3. As for Edgewood, they moved theirs to 5-3-3.

Merritt Island will take on Cocoa Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cocoa Beach is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.5 goals per game this season. As for Edgewood, they will take on Space Coast in a tournament on Tuesday. Space Coast will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Edgewood surely won't give up without a fight.
