Fairland has gone a perfect 4-0 against Copan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Owls will look to defend their home field against the Hornets at 12:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Fairland: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Copan has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Fairland is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 23 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Ketchum on Tuesday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 11-1.

Copan came out on top against Bluejacket on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Hornets took their matchup against the Chieftains 5-2. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Chieftains: they've now won eight in a row.

Fairland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Copan, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

Fairland took their victory against Copan in their previous meeting back in April of 2018 by a conclusive 11-5 score. Will the Owls repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
