Recap: Southeast Golden Buffalo vs. Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles
The Southeast Golden Buffalo had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They escaped with a win on Friday against Bishop Carroll by the margin of a single free throw, 59-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Bishop Carroll still got an impressive performance from Mikey Brand, who scored 27 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of John Hauserman, who scored 14 points.
Southeast's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Bishop Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast will take on Kapaun Mt. Carmel at TBD on Tuesday. As for Bishop Carroll, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against East at 7:30 p.m.
