Football Recap: Shades Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Shades Valley came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Leeds Greenwave, falling 27-6. If the Mounties were looking for revenge after losing 28-19 to the Greenwave when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Antwan Kelser threw for 59 yards and one TD. Corey Knight was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Quincy Poole rushed for 41 yards.

Leeds can attribute much of their success to Sam Lollar, who threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave Lollar a new career-high.

Shades Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Leeds, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Shades Valley and Leeds will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Mounties are set to take on their familiar foe Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Leeds will face off against rival Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
