It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but The Colony ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Creekview Mustangs 3-2. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

German Pulido looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Riley Stewart, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Noah Martinez-Anderson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

The Colony's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Creekview, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8.

The Colony will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
