Head-Royce is 8-2 against College Prep since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Jayhawks will head out on the road to square off against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Head-Royce has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Head-Royce blew Piedmont out of the water the last time the pair played, but last Wednesday Piedmont got their revenge. The Jayhawks fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 7-5. That's two games in a row now that the Jayhawks have lost by exactly two runs.

Graham Sanger and Kaden Choi did some serious damage despite the final result: Sanger went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, while Choi went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. Kento Tsuji also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, College Prep came up short against Athenian on Friday, falling 12-5.

Eleck Fa was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Fa was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Fa wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kobi Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Head-Royce's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for College Prep, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Head-Royce took their victory against College Prep in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jayhawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
