Exeter is a perfect 4-0 against Portsmouth since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Hawks will square off against the Clippers at 4:00 p.m. Exeter's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Portsmouth's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Exeter will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Alvirne on Friday. The Blue Hawks blew past the Broncos 18-2. Considering the Blue Hawks have won three games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth didn't have quite enough to beat Pinkerton on Friday and fell 2-1. The Clippers haven't had much luck with the Astros recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Exeter is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Portsmouth, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went Exeter's way against Portsmouth in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Exeter made off with a 12-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
