Volleyball Recap: Whitewater Takes a Loss

Whitewater was the 1-0 winner over Deerfield when they last played one another back in August of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Whippets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Demons on Saturday. The Whippets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Whitewater saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jasmine Kilar had 19 digs.

Whitewater's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Deerfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Whitewater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Dodgeland on the 20th. As for Deerfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Lincoln Academy on the 20th.
