Basketball Recap: Rio Lindo Adventist Piles Up the Points Against Victory Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rio Lindo Adventist). They blew past the Victory Christian Academy Eagles 76-34 on Thursday. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 29 points or more this season.

Rio Lindo Adventist found their leader in sophomore Jordan Campbell, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Those 11 boards set a new season-high mark for Campbell. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhordany Barcenas, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Rio Lindo Adventist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Rio Lindo Adventist pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game.
