Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson County Christian Royals vs. East Liverpool Christian

The Jefferson County Christian Royals are taking a road trip to challenge East Liverpool Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Jefferson County Christian is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Portersville Christian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Portersville Christian 61-57.

Jefferson County Christian's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

As for East Liverpool Christian, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished 0-4.

Jefferson County Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over East Liverpool Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 60-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jefferson County Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
