Volleyball Recap: Skyline Spartans vs. Liberty Patriots

Skyline proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Liberty Patriots, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since October 30, 2024.

Skyline was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 14-25, 25-22, 15-4.

Carly Maginnis paced Skyline's offense, picking up 16 kills. Maginnis got some help from Piper Hawryluk and her 28 assists. Finally, Tessa Reed kept Skyline's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.
