Northwest Area has gone 8-1 against Millville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Rangers are taking a road trip to challenge the Quakers at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northwest Area has six straight victories, Millville has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Northwest Area made easy work of Sugar Valley Rural and carried off a 21-1 win. Considering the Rangers have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Emily Davis made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Davis was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, Ava Ruckle was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addisyn Diltz, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Northwest Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sugar Valley Rural only posted an OBP of .263.
Meanwhile, Millville lost 20-5 to Columbia Montour Vo-Tech on Monday.
Northwest Area's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Millville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
Everything went Northwest Area's way against Millville in their previous meeting back in March, as Northwest Area made off with a 19-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
