Softball Recap: Bishop Ready Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Bishop Ready, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 10-5 win over the Marion-Franklin Red Devils on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Silver Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bishop Ready got a massive performance out of Natalie Wohrle, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Wohrle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Sanchez, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Bishop Ready's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Marion-Franklin, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

Bishop Ready didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-0 defeat against Licking Valley on the 15th. As for Marion-Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-9 victory against Africentric Early College on the 14th.
