Baseball Recap: William Blount Comes Up Short

William Blount lost against King's Academy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Governors took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Governors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

William Blount's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for King's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. William Blount will challenge Heritage at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Governors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mountaineers have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for King's Academy, they will face off against Christian Academy of Knoxville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
