Volleyball Recap: Chino Hills Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Yanizza Gutierrez and Edith Leung + How To Watch

Chino Hills was the 3-0 winner over Centennial when they last played one another back in September of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. Chino Hills lost 3-0 to Centennial on Thursday. Chino Hills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Chino Hills was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-16.

Chino Hills' loss came despite strong showings from Edith Leung and Yanizza Gutierrez. Leung had five digs and three aces, while Gutierrez had ten digs and one assist. Leung is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Chino Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Centennial, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Chino Hills is taking a road trip to square off against Glendora at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centennial, they will host Great Oak at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
