Mount Ida had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Blevins Hornets a 17-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mount Ida now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Blevins, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Mount Ida and Blevins will both be playing Mineral Springs the next time they take the field. The Lions will head out to face the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Hornets will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
