Soccer Game Preview: Marion vs. Greene County Tech

Marion hasn't had much luck against Greene County Tech recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Patriots will head out on the road to square off against the Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m.

Marion is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Batesville on Tuesday. The Patriots fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Greene County Tech kept a clean sheet against Nettleton on Friday. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 4-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Greene County Tech, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Greene County Tech is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those eight matches. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-2.
