Volleyball Recap: Denver West Takes a Loss

Denver West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the DSST: College View Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cowboys of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-16, 25-14.

Xzavier Espino paced Denver West's offense, picking up four kills. Espino got some help from Darien Palmon and his four assists.

Denver West's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for DSST: College View, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Denver West has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Lincoln on the 17th. As for DSST: College View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Chaparral on the 15th.
