Soccer Recap: Cox Mill Comes Up Short

Cox Mill was the 2-1 winner over Lake Norman when they last played one another on April 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Cox Mill have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Cox Mill and nudges their season record down to 9-8-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 17-0-1 Hickory Ridge (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 89.2% over those games). As for Lake Norman, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Cox Mill wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 0-0 draw against Lake Norman Charter on the 5th. As for Lake Norman, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-3 loss against Hickory Ridge on the 2nd.
