Recap: Centennial vs. Ironwood
After flying high against the Apollo Hawks last Tuesday, the Centennial Coyotes came back down to earth. Centennial fell just short of Ironwood by a score of 4-3. Centennial has struggled against Ironwood recently, as their matchup on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Centennial hit Ironwood with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Koen Knight,
Owen Collins, and
Bennett Erickson.
Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Ironwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season.
Centennial will be playing at home against Fairfax at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial is coming into the match with five straight losses at home, meaning Fairfax will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Ironwood will take on Desert Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ironwood is coming into the match with six straight victories at home, so Desert Mountain is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
