Preview: Evergreen vs. River Ridge
Evergreen will challenge River Ridge on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Evergreen come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-56, which was the final score in Evergreen's tilt against Orting last Friday.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between River Ridge and Highline. River Ridge put a hurting on Highline to the tune of 49-0. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-0.
River Ridge's win lifted them to 2-2 while Evergreen's loss dropped them down to 0-4. In their win, River Ridge relied heavily on senior Kieran Hunkin, who rushed for 89 yards and 4 touchdowns. Evergreen will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
