Baseball Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Comes Up Short

Bradley-Bourbonnais blew Marian Catholic out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Marian Catholic got their revenge. The Boilermakers fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Boilermakers have suffered since April 18, 2024.

Bradley-Bourbonnais saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Byron Sumrall, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Ian Irps, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-18. As for Marian Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 13-22.
