Volleyball Recap: Kingsland Comes Up Short

Kingsland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Houston Hurricanes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

Houston can attribute much of their success to Olivia Yohe, who had seven digs and one block.

Kingsland's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Houston, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kingsland will square off against rival Lyle/Pacelli at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Houston is set to challenge their familiar foe Lanesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
