Basketball Game Preview: Oxnard Yellowjackets vs. Agoura Chargers + How To Watch

The Oxnard Yellowjackets and the Agoura Chargers will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Oxnard has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 231 points over their last three games.

On Friday, Oxnard got the win against North by a conclusive 66-46. Fans of the Yellowjackets have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Oxnard got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mikey Duran-Morales out in front who posted 11 points along with eight assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was D'Aries Garrett, who had 19 points and six boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Oxnard was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North only posted three.

Meanwhile, Agoura was beaten by Bishop Diego 57-28 on Friday. The matchup marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Agoura and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Oxnard, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Oxnard took their win against Agoura in their previous meeting back in December of 2018 by a conclusive 51-30 score. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
