Football Recap: Terris Smith's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ezell-Harding Christian over Friendship Christian

After soaring to 35 points the game before, Ezell-Harding Christian was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost to the Friendship Christian Commanders at home by a 28-13 margin. The Eagles have struggled against the Commanders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Terris Smith, who picked up 37 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 46 yards.

Friendship Christian found their leader in freshman Ryder Wolcott, who rushed for 161 yards and three TDs. With that strong performance, Wolcott is now averaging an impressive 102.3 rushing yards per game.

Ezell-Harding Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Friendship Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ezell-Harding Christian will square off against Clarksville Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Friendship Christian, they will challenge Donelson Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
