            Basketball Recap: Riverwalk Academy Lions vs. Lewisville Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Fans were treated to a Battle of the Lions  on Thursday. The Riverwalk Academy Lions were dealt  a  94-33 loss at the hands of the Lewisville Lions. Riverwalk Academy hasn't had much luck with Lewisville recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Riverwalk Academy lost, don't look at  Austin Thurman. Despite the final result, he  went 6 for 14  to rack up 13  points and eight  boards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Adam Johnson, who  posted two points in addition to five  rebounds and four  steals.

 Even though they lost, Riverwalk Academy  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive boards. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.
Riverwalk Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Lewisville, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing McBee the next time they take the court. Lewisville will  host McBee at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday, while Riverwalk Academy will  host them  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
