There's no place like home for the Mission Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Rio Hondo by a score of 50-39 on Friday. For Mission, this counts as revenge for the 51-44 defeat Rio Hondo walked away with the last time they faced one another last Saturday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mission to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leon Villarreal, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isael Cerda, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Mission's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-9-1. As for Rio Hondo, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
