Mt. Vernon takes down Evansville Bosse in a playoff battle

Recap: Mt. Vernon Wildcats vs. Evansville Bosse Bulldogs
With a playoff game on the line, the Mt. Vernon Wildcats rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 42-29 win over the Bulldogs. The win was a breath of fresh air for Mt. Vernon as it put an end to their 11-game losing streak.
Arlissa Sharber had a dynamite game for Mt. Vernon, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Sharber has scored at least a third of Mt. Vernon's points. Another player making a difference was Hannah McNeece, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Mt. Vernon's win bumped their record up to 3-20. As for Evansville Bosse, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
Mt. Vernon will take on the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Boonville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses. Evansville Bosse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
