After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Breckinridge County, Taylor County was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Cumberland County Panthers with a sharp 9-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Taylor County pushed their record up to 17-5-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Cumberland County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Taylor County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 win against Campbellsville on the 29th.
