Neumann-Goretti has gone 8-1 against Devon Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Saints will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tide at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.
Devon Prep will be up against a hot Neumann-Goretti team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Saints' way against Haverford School on Friday as they made off with a 13-2 victory. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.
Dom Gallo tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Richie Cray was a standout: he got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Steven Vanore, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Devon Prep). They never let Father Judge get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Wednesday. The Tide not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 10, 2025 (when they won 13-1).
Devon Prep also got a great performance from Liam Jung as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Jung also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Tide are 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Austin Conaty was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Alex Hannah was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Neumann-Goretti's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Devon Prep, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Neumann-Goretti has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Devon Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Neumann-Goretti came up short against Devon Prep in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, falling 4-0. Can the Saints avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
