Preview: Mt. Enterprise Wildcats vs. Carlisle Indians
Mt. Enterprise has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Carlisle Indians at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Enterprise has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Cushing scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Mt. Enterprise still came out on top. Mt. Enterprise walked away with a 65-56 win over Cushing.
Mt. Enterprise found their leader in underclassman Kaegan Ash, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds. Jack Maples was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Meanwhile, Carlisle's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 72-56 fall against Alto. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Mt. Enterprise's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Carlisle, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Mt. Enterprise came up short against Carlisle in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 59-55. Can Mt. Enterprise avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
